Assembler 1

Chipton-Ross is seeking an Assembler 1 for a contract opportunity in Hopkinton, MA.

• High school diploma or equivalent and 2-5 years of relevant experience.
• Ability to interpret engineering specs, drawings, diagrams and blueprints.
• Ability to sit or stand for 2-hour periods, ability to lift 50 pounds.
• Ability to operate bench grinders, sanders, apply braze stop using small brushes.
• Ability to assemble and handle delicate hardware using mechanical and electrical tools.
• Deburring.

Looking for an Assembler 1. As a member of the assembly department, you'll get to work on passive high power microwave components.

Responsibilities:

Performs a variety of tasks ranging from repetitive to non-repetitive production assembly operations on mechanical assemblies and subassemblies such as waveguide components. Works from diagrams and drawings, use hand and/or power tools, jigs, and saws. Makes continuity checks on work in process and completed. May disassemble, modify, rework, reassemble, and test experimental or prototype assemblies and subassemblies according to specifications and under simulated conditions.

• Familiar with microwave waveguide and components and torch brazing experience.

High School Diploma/GED is required.

School must be accredited.

Full-Time 9/80 workweek. This position will serve on-site at Hopkinton, MA.
