Job #220093Chipton-Ross is seeking a Software Engineer 2 for a contract/hybrid opportunity in Newport News, VA.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE)
- Bachelor's Degree and 2 years of experience. Master's Degree and 0 years of experience. 4 years of related exempt experience can be substituted for Bachelor's degree. 8 years of non-related exempt experience can be substituted for Bachelor's degree. A relevant professional certification can be substituted for a Bachelor's Degree.
- Required to know Software Life Cycle Development.
- Ability to test and peer review code.
- Knowledge of several programming languages, including Java, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, C#, .Net.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
Design, develop, and test operating systems-level software, compilers, and network distribution software. Set operational specifications, and formulate and analyze software requirements. May design embedded systems software.
REQUIRED EDUCATION
Bachelor's degree is required.
School must be accredited.
WORK HOURS
5/40 workweek. First Shift 7:30AM-4:00 PM. Hybrid position.
