Job #220160Chipton-Ross is seeking a R&D Calibration Technician for a contract opportunity in Skaneateles, NY.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE)
Strong written and verbal communication skills Strong organizational and time management skills Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel Detail oriented Strong verbal and written communication skills around 2 years experience is best, entry level role - mostly revolves around coordination
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
Coordinate calibration, service, and repair activities for laboratory and test equipment with external service providers and internal Metrology Team.
Maintain equipment records, calibration certificates, and inventory databases.
Review service and calibration documentation for completeness and accuracy.
Monitor and track calibration and repair expenses.
Support out-of-tolerance (OOT) investigations and equipment impact assessments.
Purchase laboratory consumables and supplies to support R&D laboratory operations.
Create purchase requisitions/orders using SAP, SRM, or other business systems.
Conduct routine laboratory walkthroughs to identify and document safety, compliance, housekeeping, and operational observations.
Support continuous improvement initiatives related to safety, compliance, efficiency, and reliability.
Perform limited hands-on equipment inspections or calibration activities as needed.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE)
Associates degree or equivalent
