Job #220293Chipton-Ross is seeking multiple Tool Engineer 2's for a contract opportunity in Palmdale, CA.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE)
- 3+ years of Catia design experience (high proficiency in 3D modeling and detailing).
- Familiarity with Industry Standards related to Detailed Drawing Requirements, ANSI, ISO, etc.
- Knowledgeable in designing of castings, stampings and turned components
- GD&T knowledge (it’s understanding and usage) in order to properly apply the rules to drawings
- Efficient in writing, communication and ability to manage technical details
- Proficient with Microsoft office products - Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
- Coordination of design and fabrication requirements for tools and fixtures with customers, both internal and external
- Coordinate/develop & execute test plans
- Develop & evaluate process improvements
- Assist Product Development Team with new product designs to ensure manufacturability, validate process/technology.
- Developing manufacturing processes, plans, and procedures for the fabrication of tools and equipment in support of our process work instructions and visual aids of our shop planning process and other functions that affect product performance.
- Managing all phases of project: design, document, fabricate, assemble, and validate.
REQUIRED EDUCATION
Bachelor's Degree is required.
School must be accredited.
WORK HOURS
9/80 workweek. This position will serve on-site at Palmdale.

- Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
