Chipton-Ross is seeking a Director of the Cabin Integrated Product Team for an opening in Reno, NV.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
This position is responsible for leading and supervising all activities related to the design, development, testing and certification of the entire cabin, interior, and all necessary equipment. This will include interior furnishings such as seating and monuments, the water and waste system, galley functions and equipment as well as the cabin electronic systems and inflight entertainment. The Director of the Cabin Integrated Product Team (IPT) will manage the interior design, supporting supplier/partners and all design and certification activity required. He/She will liaise with the Client Sales and Marketing team to ensure the design concepts and completion strategy aligns with customer expectations as well as the AS2 production and completion processes.
Leading the Cabin IPT development & certification effort.
Managing Cabin IPT performance against approved schedule, budget, and manage supplier performance in conjunction with subcontracts management.
Developing cabin systems design, architecture, and product roadmap.
Selecting and interfacing with suppliers and partners.
Providing technical leadership, mentoring and guidance.
Defining requirements for the overall cabin to ensure compliance with regulations and meeting customer expectations.
Providing validation and verification of requirements.
Performing systems test and certification associated with cabin systems.
Overseeing cabin system and certification documentation.
Reporting status and managing to milestones.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
10+ years of hands-on experience in Cabin Systems development, design and testing in Military, Commercial and/or business jet class aircraft.
Minimum of 5 years of experience leading technical resources and teams, both internally and externally, as well as both on-site and off-site.
In-depth and current knowledge of Part 25 regulatory requirements.
Experience and expertise in the development of commercial and/or high-end business jets strongly desired.
Recent experience in developing cabin and interior solutions from concept through certification strongly desired.
Must be able to demonstrate a clear understanding, knowledge and ability to define requirements, generate architecture and achieve compliance.
Strong customer focus with experience in a global environment working with customers and suppliers.
Strong/proven problem-solving skills across multi-disciplinary skill sets.
Strategic leader with very strong decision making and communication skills.
Ability to develop high levels of credibility and forge solid professional relationships with subordinates, peers, and management.
Ability to drive accountability appropriately within the organization.
Experience with Microsoft Office software inclusive of MS Project.

EDUCATION:
Accredited Bachelor’s Degree relevant to the position. Master’s or Ph.D. in a technical specialty preferred.

WORK HOURS:
Full-Time

Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
