Chipton-Ross is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer for an opening in Reno, NV.

Systems requirements development and integration across program disciplines, data/configuration management, and verification.
Systems performance tracking against requirements to support validation/verification efforts.
Test and validation to ensure systems designs meet operational and functional requirements.
Support analyses and studies for affordability, safety, reliability, maintainability, testability, human systems integration, survivability, vulnerability, susceptibility, system security, regulatory, certification, product assurance and other specialties to ensure mission success.
Perform and assist in systems requirements development, management, documentation, verification and validation, including review of systems architectures.
Work in a high paced, IPT team based, creative entrepreneurial environment.
Organize and coordinate civil safety assessment processes in accordance with ARP4761, including but not limited to, Functional Hazard Assessments (FHAs), Preliminary System Safety Assessments (PSSAs), System Safety Assessments (SSAs), Fault Tree Analysis (FTAs), Common Mode Analyses (CMAs).
Assist in configuration management of aircraft systems.
Audit and report progress against requirements and provide traceability to ensure items achieve desired operational and function requirements.
Work closely with program IPTs to ensure systems requirements are met through design, testing, verification and validation.
Maintain System Engineering processes and methodologies across the entire engineering organization.
Support reliability, maintainability and sustainability efforts.

5+ years of hands-on experience in systems engineering for complex aerospace development programs, working on projects with inter-disciplinary teams, and coordinating requirements and tracking performance against requirements across the development program and supporting supplier/partners.
Strong understanding of complex systems development methods, systems testing practices, and process and tools.
Understanding of multiple engineering disciplines, such as aero, mechanical, electrical, and computer architectures.
Current knowledge of FAA regulatory requirements and airworthiness, with knowledge of EASA and ICAO regulatory requirements and airworthiness highly desired.
Applied knowledge of Systems Engineering industry guidelines, regulations and document (SAE ARP4754, SAE ARP4761, MSG-3, etc.).
Experience with RELEX, PowerLOG, EAGLE, SLICWave, or similar RM&S software applications is desirable.
Experience and expertise in RM&S development of commercial and/or high-end business jets strongly desired.
Ability to read, understand and interpret the results of engineering analyses.
Strong/proven problem-solving and decision making skills across multi-disciplinary skill sets.
Highly self-motivated with a strong bias for action.
Demonstrated success working within highly empowered teams and working with a diverse group of people at every level in an organization.
Ability to develop high levels of credibility and forge solid professional relationships with subordinates, peers, and management.

Accredited Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant engineering disciplines, with a master’s Degree in Systems Engineering preferred.
