- Chipton-Ross is seeking aSenior Engineering Specialist for an opening in Reno, NV.
Complete understanding of latest structural static, durability and damage tolerance requirements for Part 25 certification, including FAR 25.305, 25.307 and 25.571 or equivalent EASA/TCCA regulations.
Serve as the primary point of contact between Client and the FAA, EASA, and other regulatory authorities for all structures topics.
Lead the structures team in development of the PSP, PSCP, issue papers, and other certification documents.
Provide direction for analysis methods and failure criterions development using classical techniques, hand calculations and/or FEM.
Establish strategies for maintenance program, inspection intervals and inspection methodologies.
Support new business development, trade studies and proposal activities.
Support design reviews with IPT teams and partners/suppliers.
12+ years of experience in performing stress analysis, approving test plans and test results.
3+ years of experience in supporting Part 25 certification and assessing means of compliance.
Must have demonstrated leadership capabilities.
Part 25 DER credentials preferred.
Demonstrated success in dealing and influencing internal and external stakeholders
Strategic thinker with very strong decision making and communication skills.
Highly self-motivated with a strong bias for action, and excellent problem-solving skills across multi-disciplinary skill sets.
Accredited Bachelor’s Degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering, or similarly related area. Master’s Degree strongly preferred.
Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
