Description
Chipton-Ross is seeking 4 Structural & Payload Design Engineer 5's for an opening in Tukwila, WA

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provides oversight and direction to develop, integrate and document structural and interior payload system requirements to establish the system design. Leads development, maintenance and modification of structural and interior payload system and component designs, using 3-D Computer Aided Design tools and/or other design methods, to provide product definition to other engineering groups, production operations, suppliers and external customers throughout the product lifecycle. Leads performance, integration and analysis of tests to validate and verify systems and components meet requirements and specifications. Manages supplier development, test and production activities and coordinates with the supplier to optimize the design and achieve program goals. Develops new design/analysis processes and tools to improve the effectiveness, quality and efficiency of the development effort. Investigates emerging technologies to develop concepts for future product designs to meet projected requirements. Performs, integrates analytical and test results to validate and verify systems and components meet requirements and specifications. Works under consultative direction.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
5 or more years' experience required using NX, including demonstrated proficiency on primary structure and full Model-based definition. Experience helping aerospace programs through final design (e.g. ALO/BTP) release highly desired. Position requires excellent communication skills.

EDUCATION:
Accredited Bachelor's degree with 12 or more years' experience, Master's degree with 10 or more years' experience or PhD with 9 or more years' experience. Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry.

TRAVEL: YES
Occasional domestic trip, less than 10%

FULL TIME/FIRST SHIFT
WORK HOURS: 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM

Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
