Chipton Ross is seeking a Tester 3 for an opening in Torrance, CA
" Conducts Engineering development testing including but not limited to High Voltage DC/AC, partial discharge/corona testing, electrical, mechanical, environmental, optical and materials testing
" Monitor and maintain data acquisition system
" Troubleshoot test systems and perform failure analysis
" Writes test procedures and engineering test reports and prepare presentations to clearly convey the results to engineering and management.
" Maintains Engineering test report log and engineering test workload log
" Assists production department in testing of production hardware as the need warrants it
" Performs other duties within or outside of the engineering test lab as required
" Determines characteristics of simple electrical circuits, i.e., determining electrical resistance given an input voltage with other circuit elements
" Constructs data tables to assist in determining correlation between variables
" Assists in determining causal events given different inputs
" Associate degree or equivalent from community college or trade-technical school in electronics area
" 5 years related experience in electro-mechanical testing using ohm meters, power supplies, hi pot testers, electrical and optical transmission loss, optical back reflection, pressure chambers, thermal chambers, thermal shock chambers, use of transducers and sensors
" Excellent analytical and reasoning skills
" Experience operating tensile test machines and harness testers
" Understanding of vibration and shock testing equipment and set up
" MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint
" Knowledge in programming CableTest Automated Test System a plus
" Lab View or other equivalent software a plus
1st Shift, 5/40
Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
