Description


Chipton-Ross is seeking an Inspector for an opening in Aston, PA.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Under minimum supervision, perform all phases of quality assurance and control, coordinate
inspections, work with customer QAR’s, and prepare quality document packages. May be
required to perform duties at vendors facility.
Inspection
Perform non-destructive examinations as required (magnaflux,
fluorescent dye penetrant, material hardness, etc.)
Responsible for performance of receiving, in-process, and final
inspection including shipping.
Coordinate with vendors/suppliers to define and control rejected
non-conforming material.
Work with design and project engineering on quality related
projects and programs as required.
Calibrate working inspection gauges and instruments using
established procedures.
Assist customer quality representatives in performance of inspection and quality checks as required.
Witness and inspect functional test both in-house and at vendor's facility as required.

Maintain Records
Maintain related formalized records of inspections and remedial action as applicable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
5 years experience in all phases of inspection including process control, dimensional, final,
receiving and shipping.
Under minimum supervision, performs duties which require application of experience and
judgment within limitations of standard methods and procedures.
Must have knowledge of government regulations in quality and general procedures. Able to use and maintain all types of QA instruments, gauges, and equipment. Able to interpret drawings and have thorough knowledge of QA procedures.

Responsibility for Errors
Probable errors usually detected in succeeding operations and generally confined to a single
department or phase of Company activities.

Responsibility for Relationships With Others
Contacts with other persons within the department or other departments on routine matters or
occasional outside contacts, furnishing or obtaining information only. Regular contact with
Government and customer QAR’s requires tact to avoid friction and obtain cooperation.

Type of Supervision
No immediate responsibility but must assist and direct one or two people in the same organization
in the conduct of meeting requirements.

EDUCATION:
Accredited High School Diploma/GED

WORK HOURS:
Full-Time


Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
