Description


Chipton-Ross is seeking a Quality Inspector for an opening in Oldsmar, FL.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Perform quality and workmanship (Q&W) of hardware. Uses predetermined methods, operations, setups and prescribed specifications to inspect visually in-process and completed products such as electronic units and subsystems, precision electro-mechanical assemblies or mechanical units, sub-assemblies, structural flaws, internal defects, and missing welds. Uses various measuring devices. Accepts, rejects, or reworks defective or malfunctioning units or systems. Works from blueprints, diagrams, dial indicators, preset micrometers, scales, fixtures, customer specifications, drawing or inspection instructions and checklists. May monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures. Ability to use hand measuring tools i.e. Calipers, Height Gauges Knowledge, Go/No-Go Gauges etc. Perform Final Inspection (FIP) of hardware. Witness Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) per the Design Data Package (DDP) requirements, Follow up on FAT failures per Failure Review Board (FRB), Perform Operational Proof Of station, Test Station Physical Configuration Audit (PCA), Participate in Material Review Boards (MRB) and Waivers for noncompliance to the DDP, Hardware Physical Configuration Audit (PCA), Support/propose Engineering Change Orders (ECR) or Problem Reports (PR), Support Government Industry Data Exchange Program (GIDEP) when required, Support RMS Bulletins when required, Establish inspection points during manufacturing and final operations of hardware/cabinets. Interface with internal stakeholders (Program Managers, Quality, and Manufacturing Engineers etc.); Interface with external stakeholders/customers (DCMA/PMO/SP24); Interface with other Client sites and suppliers/subcontractors. Issue Corrective Actions for internal and external Client sites and subcontractors; Nonconforming Metrics, etc. Perform Source Inspection at Subcontractors (this may require travel).

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
Experience with Military Contracts, MIL-STD's and workmanship standards including IPC-610, IPC-620 or J-STD-001 Soldering Requirements. Use of SAP and Solumina, can understand drawings and requirements and above average written and verbal communication skills. This is for 1st shift with possible 2nd shift work. Flexibility is needed.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance (GD&T) trained. 2 yr. technical degree or 5 to 7 years inspection experience. works well in a team environment Air-frame and Power-plant License, IPC 610 knowledge for inspection, IPC 620 knowledge for for inspection,
