Chipton-Ross is seeking a Mechanical Engineering Additive Engineer for an opening in Orlando, FL.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Mechanical Engineering Additive Engineer position in the RAPID Center in support of internal customers for research and development projects and contracted programs.Primary job responsibility will be to research, design, and develop additive manufactured products. This person will be required to perform all functions associated with the additive manufacturing process which includes, but not limited to, machine operation, laser scanning, specification compliance, completeness, accuracy, design soundness, ANSI Y14.5 GD&T standards, fabrication, assembly, installation, customer interface, tolerance requirements, and data management. Candidate should have proficient use of ProE/CREO, Pro/Windchill, and knowledge of GD&T and mechanical design skills. Coordinate and work technical hands on duties and activities concurrently, maintain and program machines. Excellent verbal & written communication skills are a necessity.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
Candidate must have experience in mechanical design with 3D modeling software, knowledge of GD&T (Geometric dimensioning and tolerancing). Person must have knowledge of additive manufacturing and laser scanning technologies. Position also requires that this person possess a nominal skill level in all Microsoft Office products. Ability to coordinate and work multiple technical activities concurrently is required. Excellent verbal & written communication skills are a necessity. Must understand importance of product detail, work schedules and task tracking/reporting. Can plan and prioritize work appropriate to schedule.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
1) Proficient with reverse engineering using laser scanning and GeoMagics software 2) Experience with Magics software 3) Prior knowledge and operation of additive manufacturing machines, materials, and software's, especially polymer based. 4) Design skills for creating 3D printed parts

EDUCATION:
Accredited Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 2 years of professional experience.

9/80, 1st Shift
Full-Time
