Chipton-Ross is seeking a Painter 2 for an opening in Orlando, FL.
Will mask and paint aerospace parts with high precision and tight tolerances. Will use spray guns, brushes and/or other paint application tools. Will operate programmable industrial ovens. Operates sandblaster or tumble blast equipment for removal of scale, flux, corrosion and dirt from material or parts. Be able to sand parts in unique shapes to requirement using sandpaper and/or other specified tools.
Mixes paints, lacquers and enamels and thins to consistency stipulated in company or customer specifications. Checks surface conditions prior to painting for cleanliness and masking and for post paint treatments such as etching and baking. Sets up and operates spray painting equipment following routine procedure. Maintains close check and control on viscosity of paints. Perform touch-up and rework with spray gun and/or brushes. Blends paint by mixing two or more colors to meet color standards or specifications as required. May apply chemical conversion coatings such as Alodine or Irridite.
Monitors and performs required adjustments to ensure acceptable hardware is produced. Be detail oriented. Reviews own work according to company standards and customer specifications. Ability to read and understand written work instructions.
Previous precision painting experience. Experience prepping surfaces, precision masking, and operating spray guns. Be able to sand parts in unique shapes to requirement using sandpaper and/or other specified tools.
Must have the flexibility to work 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shift as required
Accredited High School Diploma/GED
1st - 5 am - 3:30 pm, 6 am - 4:30 pm 2nd - 4 pm - 2:30 am, 3:340 pm - 2 am
Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
