Chipton-Ross is seeking a Production Control Assistant for an opening in Manassas, VA.

Performs the Make, Buy and Bill of Material (BOM) planning activities associated with Manufacturing Resource Planning (MRP) transactions. Performs one or more manufacturing activities within various manufacturing functions. Maintains production systems integrity to drive inventory optimization to minimize cost. Expedites and optimizes material flow through the supply chain to meet customer requirements. Coordinates with manufacturing, test and Operations Management to provide shop floor control on make parts. Develops manufacturing concepts and strategies to support business objectives. Analyzes production schedule, executes MRP to the plan and develop work around plans to preserve schedule. Specific tasks include:
o Expedite material shortages with appropriate sense of urgency
o Analyze, execute and close defect incidents within prescribed cycle time
o Coordinate rework activities in the work center
o Work in progress (WIP) management
o Provide daily work center status to stakeholders
o Update aged WIP status biweekly, per MMAS requirements
o Develops, validates and implements process improvements
o Demonstrate positive planning and controls of material flow throughout the facility
o Create and update delivery documents in support of contract deliveries
o Work with work center supervisor in coordinating and planning production/test activities
o Surveil the execution of production plan against schedule and proactively resolve potential risks in a timely manner
o Adhere to business practices and procedures to meet company objectives
o Analyze delays and work with stakeholders to adjust production schedule to meet deadlines
o Maintain reports for production planning activities and sequences, detecting general trends

Program Deliveries:
o Create and update DD1149 paperwork noting ship shorts
o Load ship shorts in to the SILC tool and update status as applicable
o Coordinate signed ROA and upload to SILC

Effective verbal and written communication skills. Self motivation. Customer service oriented. Problem solving skills. Warehouse and inventory management experience, production planning experience, return to vendor (RTV) experience

o Demonstrated knowledge executing to production schedule

o Self-motivated with a demonstrated ability to be productive n a fast-paced, dynamic environment

o Demonstrated effective verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills

o Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships

o Demonstrated knowledge of change management and conflict resolution

o Ability to effectively interface and communicate with peers, customers and senior management

o 2+ years experience working in business systems:

o Engineering Product Data Management (EPDM)

o Systems, Application and Products (SAP) - Enterprise Resource Planning Tool

o Procure 2 Pay (P2P)

Accredited High School diploma, or equivalent experience/combined education, with additional specialized technical training equivalent to a technical Associate degree and/or demonstrated ability to perform assigned technical/para-engineering tasks and 3 Years of experience.

9/80, 1st Shift

Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
