- Chipton Ross is seeking a Structures Design Engineer for an opening in Arlington, TX.
Contract design engineer on existing or new development program. Designs, researches and develops structural engineering layouts, components and assemblies involving metals, non-metallic or composite structural materials for product design, or operation of product to include structures, mechanical, hydraulic, electrical and electronics, power plant, armament, heating and ventilating, equipment and maintenance designs. Develops and maintains engineering bills of material and product structures. Coordinates the inputs of a variety of disciplines including stress, manufacturing engineering and product support to ensure all engineering requirements are incorporated into the design. Specific design engineering specialties may include airframe, mechanisms and subsystems installations. Tools utilized include CATIA and Enovia (3D Experience).
Complete understanding and wide application of technical principles, theories, and concepts in the field. General knowledge of other related disciplines. Provide technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problems. Solutions are imaginative, thorough, practicable, and consistent with organization objectives. Works under supervision of direct company design lead. Work is reviewed upon completion for adequacy in meeting objectives.
The successful candidate will typically have a bachelor's degree or equivalent and ten (10) years of related experience.
1st shift, 5/40
Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
