- Chipton-Ross is seeking Transportation Analyst 3 located in Everett, WA.
Provides support for the development of the statement of work to secure cost-effective transportation services. Analyzes carrier performance data for cycle time, costs and business process review. Participates on enterprisewide and cross-functional teams defining export control programs. Interfaces with internal/external compliance organizations and responds to Customs and Border Protection inquiries for export control issues to ensure compliance with export regulations, federal regulations, Foreign Trade Regulations and the Compliance Offices. Certifies the shipment of dangerous goods. Investigates loss and damage claims to carriers. Designs transportation plans and solutions. Provides program managers with the development of transportation plans. Identifies requirements and business rules for third party freight audit and payment provider to ensure compliance. The candidate will be responsible for Dangerous Goods pre-transportation functions, including, but are not limited to the following:
• Determining the UN Number, Proper Shipping Name, Hazard Class, and Packaging Group
• Providing DG packaging plan
• Determining marking and labeling for a package
• Preparing shipping papers
• Reviewing a shipment to verify compliance with the HazMat Regulations
• Signing the DG Declaration- Service Provider
• Save a copy of DG Declaration- Service Provider
• Arranging transportation for surface and air
1 or more years’ related work experience, or more years’ related work experience.
High school diploma or GED.
FULL TIME/1ST SHIFT
WORK HOURS: 6:00 AM - 3:00 PM
Site to site in Puget sound possible just local miles.
Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
