Description
Chipton-Ross is seeking an Accounting Clerk for an opportunity in Torrance, CA.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Accounts Payable - Processing invoices, expense reports and company credit cards for payment, prepare check runs and e-payable files, calculate and file monthly sales & use tax, work with suppliers and procurement to resolve payment issues, filing.
Accounts Receivable - Preparation and submission of customer invoices and credit card payments, collections and cash application, work with customers and Contracts/Program Management to resolve invoicing/collection issues, filing, make cash bank deposits.
Payroll - Prepare and maintain monthly payroll journal entries and payroll reconciliations as needed.
General Ledger/Reporting - Prepare assigned monthly journal entries, reconcile assigned General ledger accounts monthly. Upload journal entries into Mapics XA.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
" Minimum 2 years Accounts Receivable and/or Accounts Payable Experience (Manufacturing Industry a plus)
" Proficient and accurate 10 key and data entry skills
" Microsoft Office proficient - Excel, Word and Outlook
" Good verbal and written communication skills
" Good organization skills and attention to detail required
" Mapics XA and/or MPC experience - a plus

EDUCATION:
Accredited High School Diploma/GED. " Associate's Degree in Accounting preferred

WORK HOURS:
Full-Time/First Shift

Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
