- Chipton-Ross is seeking an Instrumentation and Software Test Engineer for an opening in Pleasanton, CA.
The Instrument Software Integration Engineer, is member of the Software Verification and Validation (VnV) group.The group supports software development, VnV an Manufacturing teams in integrating software components, troubleshooting, test management and test execution.
Manage the software integration team activities via the integration backlog
Create transparency on the integration status, and align scope for component integration;
Coordinate, execute software integration activities, ensuring stability and continuous integration
Identify opportunities to improve the integration strategy, and lead all integration related issues;
Analyze integration impact of new (versions of) software components provided by development teams and third-parties.
Experience with software configuration management processes and tooling (Git, RTC, Jenkins)
Affinity with software engineering principles (OO) as well as programming languages (C++, C# and / or Python)
Ability to troubleshoot issues / bottlenecks in the infrastructure domain (build and test environment)
Knowledge on software version control systems (tooling as well as process/principles) as well as build tooling;
Analytical view combined with a pragmatic and hands-on attitude (flexibility);
Interpersonal communications skills are required due to the high degree of interaction;
Proactively and self-responsibility;
Accredited BSc or MSc degree in Computer Science, Informatics, or related technical discipline
Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
