Chipton-Ross is seeking a Drafter for an opportunity in
Fort Bragg, NC

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Essential tasks include Operating Microsoft and AUTOCAD at a journeyman level with basic knowledge of ARC-GIS computer aided drafting and design software. Uses AUTOCAD along with production plotters to design building floor plans, utility layouts, maps, master plans and complete engineering projects.

Maintains the FM library of drawings and updates drawing after projects by incorporating As-builts and record drawings along with site information. In cases where As-builts are inadequate, incumbent will draft the necessary information in AUTOCAD for incorporation.

Routinely takes complex input to develop end item drawings to include underground utilities (water, sewer, power and communications), building plans including architectural, structural, fire safety, and security drawings and Scopes of Work (SOW). Incumbent has to independently conduct research to resolve complex issues and problems as a result of errant contractor/user provided layouts, drawings, design specifications and input to ensure design projects are complete and accurate.

Utilizes Microsoft Office software and printers to prepare and maintain construction status reports, various spreadsheets, briefing charts, and general correspondence. Operates, maintains and updates the computerized command building and utility as-built programs to show existing and future construction. Prepares As-Built drawings and plans from engineering technical data and quotes, updates floor plans for specific buildings, special projects and provides drafting support for MILCON, UMC, and O&M construction projects.

Responsible for all Command construction and as-built plans and documentation archival storage, maintenance and reproduction.

Has basic knowledge of schedule software to track and maintain furniture, construction and space allocation schedules for the Command. Prepares status reports and updates of the schedules when needed to brief leadership.

Completes and maintains the ISR-I compliance status for the compound. Communicates with DPW/Real Property and modifications for new facilities.

EDUCATION:
Accredited BS+6-10 YRS or MS+4-8 YRS

MISCELLANEOUS:

WORK HOURS:
Full-Time/First Shift

Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
