Description


Chipton-Ross is seeking a HR Assistant 3 in Newport News, VA.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Performs a variety of general personnel/clerical tasks in such areas as employee records, benefits, education/training, employment, compensation, and equal employment opportunity. Maintains both manual and automated personnel records, collects and compiles sensitive and confidential personnel statistics and prepares reports. In accordance with procedures, furnishes information to authorized persons and/or agencies. Provides information to all levels of employees regarding personnel policies and procedures.
HOURS: 7:30AM - 4PM

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
High School and 4 years additional education and/or experience.
This position will support approx. 9-10 Human Resources Business Partners (HRBP).

Candidates submitted to this position should have the following prior experience:

-Experience supporting multiple managers and all levels of employees
-Experience working in a human resources office
-Proficiency in creating reports in SAP and Excel (i.e. queries, pivot tables, formatting, graphs and charts)
-Proficiency in Microsoft products (Outlook, Work, PowerPoint)
-Ability to prioritize and multi-task
-Ability to maintain confidentiality
-Familiarity with MyHR
-Understanding of HR processes such as hiring, terminations, discipline and attrition.
*Interviews will be held the week of 9/16/19*

EDUCATION:
High School diploma or GED from accredited school.

LOCATION INFORMATION:
Work site location will be outside the yard gates however steel toes, hard hat, and safety glasses will need to be kept at their desk in the event there is a meeting inside the yard.


Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
