Chipton-Ross is seeking a Tool Engineer 4 for an opening in Stuart, FL.

Designs, plans and coordinates all tooling activities with onsite, homeroom and contract resources. Supports the specification and arrangement processes for tooling and machines within plant facilities to ensure most efficient and productive procurement and implementation. Plans sequence of operations and specifies procedures for the fabrication, modification and/or repair of tools and equipment that affect product performance. This role may incorporate audit compliance activities, inspection evaluation, action plans, and test requirements. Evaluates tool inspection and criteria for compliance and recommends or executes best course of action for remediation of any discrepancy. Proactively leads and/or participates in corrective action of tooling problems and deficiencies to ensure product quality, schedule and cost requirements are met. Provides guidance to Engineering and Manufacturing Engineering regarding design concepts and specification requirements to best utilize equipment and manufacturing techniques.
" Primary function is to support all manner of Stuart on-site tooling activity by serving as the liaison between any combination of site, homeroom and vendor contributor. Including, but not limited to change management, new product introduction, product transition and all documentation regarding tooling throughout the lifecycle of the program.
" Individual will be primarily assigned to and responsible for the tooling performance at the Stuart facility, but will be expected to support (with travel) all Client facilities, spending time at whichever location the need exists on various assignments such as, but not limited to, startup and devolution programs, new tool implementation, tool revision.
" Position requires extensive knowledge of aircraft tooling fabrication, design and procurement processes
" Ability to create and develop initial tooling plan (cost, schedule, quality, ROI and feasibility) in coordination with Manufacturing Engineering
" Provide tooling SME support and collaboration with homeroom and outside suppliers for tool design and factory process development and integration.
" Support engineering regarding design concepts and potential tooling solutions to best utilize equipment and manufacturing techniques.
" Assist with and lead impact analysis of change packages
" Assist with and lead Audit activities concerning tooling
" Support IPT commodity managers to achieve program performance and schedule.
" Familiar with (SOW, ESOW, MESOW, SAP, MES, TDR, TDAR, etc.), functional, product and process response documents.

" The successful candidate will typically have a bachelor's degree or equivalent and 10+ years related experience.
" Ability to support any size team with pre-planning, project scheduling, budget control and project management.
" The individual must possess outstanding communication skills that enable him/her to work independently with related disciplines.
" Candidate must have strong computer skills and experience using Enovia, Catia V5, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project, and SAP experience a plus.
" Understands Aerospace Tooling, Design-for Manufacturing/Assembly, and Aerospace tooling and manufacturing concepts as applied to tools, equipment, automation, inspection and buy-off
" Understanding of Aerospace tooling model and drawing interrogation, FSDA methodology and GD&T is a major plus.

Accredited Bachelor's degree or equivalent and 10+ years related experience.


Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
