Chipton-Ross is seeking a Material Handler for an opening in Auburn, AL.

Pick, pack, sort, arrange, count, store, and correctly process items for storage and/or shipment in accordance with established procedures and customer requirements while sustaining a high level of quality to ensure customers receive correct product and in the time requested. Receive materials and/or finished goods on a daily basis. Verify the quality, type and amount of materials received are correct and that the appropriate documentation is present (e.g. packing list). Maintains awareness of work environment and traffic at all times to insure safety of employees and maintain quality of materials. Operates scanner system to maintain inventory, parts, processing orders, shipping status, etc. Wears appropriate PPE when performing job duties such as high visibility clothing, earplugs, safety shoes, safety glasses, etc. Performs equipment safety check and completes documentation as required. Safely operate distribution equipment as required. Ability to stand, bend, stretch, reach, climb, repetitively to accomplish goals of the warehouse. Ability to frequently lift and maneuver items that vary in size weighing up to 50 pounds individually or occasionally with assistance from others or by utilizing automated equipment. Flexibility to work weekends as required. Ability to work in team environment and communicate well with others.

The requirements listed below are representative of knowledge, skills, and/or ability. To perform this job successfully, and individual must be able to complete each essential duty in a satisfactory manner and work in a team environment. Must be proficient in aspects of distribution and departmental standard operating procedures.

General warehouse experience is preferred. Prior experience operating a powered industrial truck (forklift). Must be able to maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. Ability to constantly stand and move around department required. Frequent walking, stooping, bending and reaching required. Regular, reliable and predictable attendance necessary for adequate scheduling and coverage. Wear OSHA-approved steel toe shoes. Computer Experience: Basic knowledge of computers and Microsoft programs.

Accredited High School Diploma/GEd

Full-Time, 6A - 6P 3 1/2 days/week
First Shift

Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
