Chipton-Ross is seeking a CNC Machinist A for an opening in Costa Mesa, CA.
Set-up, adjust and operate CNC Milling Machines .
Reviews blueprints, drawings, or sample parts to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished work.
Selects, aligns, and secures holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials on
machines such as conventional and CNC machines.
Modify existing programs to reduce cycle times
Perform operations loading parts into various deburring/finishing equipment and running based on work
Set up machines, dimensionally inspect the first piece and adjust setup piece until part meets specification
Communicates with Manufacturing Engineering, Planners, Supervisors and other personnel to resolve
machining or assembly problems
Work under general supervision; work is subject to progress and final inspection.
Continuous improvement efforts required.
The employee may be required to work beyond normal working hours from time to time as the workload
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Atleast 3 years of relevant work experience as a CNC machinist.
Ability to lift up to 25lbs
Proven ability to read and accurately interpret work orders, blueprints, interpret and apply GD&T notations
ERP system experience, SAP preferred.
Skilled in proper use and techniques of precision measuring instruments and other basic hand tools
Ability to work in an environment that is long and repetitive
Accredited High School Diploma/GED
Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
