- Chipton-Ross is seeking an Avionics Engineer for an opportunity in Fort Worth, TX
Supports development, design, integration and test function of Avionics/flight control systems, including electronics, SW, hydraulics, etc. Analyzes product/system designs, applying knowledge of technology and materials to ensure a design that considers functionality, appearance, FAA compliance, availability, safety and cost.
Experience working electro-optic (EO) systems.
Active F-22 Project Clearance desired.
The selected candidate will be assigned to the F-16/F-22 Integrated Fighter Group's (IFG) Sensors & Weapons team supporting the integration of electro-optic (EO) systems--including targeting, reconnaissance, and terrain-following pods--on F-16 aircraft. The candidate will assist in the development, integration, and testing of said systems as well as develop test procedures and document interfaces. The selected candidate will interface and coordinate with suppliers, program management, and other subsystem engineers to support program cost, schedule, quality, technical goals, and requirements. The selected candidate will also participate in solving technical problems, subcontract planning, and risk management.
Accredited Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, System Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related technical degree.
