Description
Chipton-Ross is seeking a Logistics Clerk for an opportunity in Huntington Beach, CA

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Other duties may be assigned.
Promotes cooperation and positive communication with co-workers.
Enters transaction data from source documents into the computer.
Files documentation as required by company procedure.
Compares data entered with source documents to detect errors.
Deletes incorrectly entered data and enters correct data.
Counts, sorts, or weighs incoming articles to verify receipt of items on requisition or invoices.
Stores articles in bins, on floor, or on shelves, according to identifying information such as style, size, or type of material.
Lifts, positions, and removes materials within the stockroom area.
Picks up and carries scrap from work areas.
Fills orders or issues supplies from stock.
Assists in the "kitting" of parts and preparing loose-item kits.
Requisitions articles to fill incoming orders.
Prepares periodic, special, or perpetual inventory of stock.
Compiles reports on use of stock handling equipment, adjustments of inventory counts and stock records, expiration of shelf-life or damage to stock, location changes, and refusal of shipments.
Marks identifying codes, figures, or letters on articles.
Issues stock keeping records of material issued.
Assists with methods of storage, identification, and stock location, considering temperature, humidity, height and weight limits, turnover, floor loading capacities, and required space.
Moves or transports material or supplies to other departments.
Cleans work area and equipment. Performs other routine duties.
Must be able to work overtime when designated.
Works at different work stations as needs require.

Must have a sensitivity to safety regulations and requirements.
Able to work within the time constraints dictated by Driessen's agreement to customer requests.
Must know how to read and use a tape measure.
Able to self-inspect personal work and correct discrepancies in a timely manner.
Must meet or exceed current training requirements.
Available to assist in other areas of the company, as directed by supervisor.
Must demonstrate proficiency in data entry skills on the computer.

EDUCATION:
Accredited High School Diploma/GED

WORK HOURS:
Full-Time/First Shift

Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
