Chipton-Ross is seeking a Technical Editor & Writer 1 for an opportunity in Redondo Beach, CA.
Writes and updates Operation and Maintenance (O&M) technical procedures such as removal/installation, adjust, and inspections of unit level components to communicate clearly and effectively technical specifications and maintenance instructions to field maintenance personnel. Performs technical source data research by referring to engineering technical specifications, engineering blueprints and engineering drawings. Prepares and submits technical illustration requests by selecting engineering drawings, sketches, diagrams and charts. Candidate must possess basic understanding and application of Technical Publications principles, concepts, practices, and standards and independently demonstrate the skill and ability to perform fairly complex technical writing tasks.
Bachelor's Degree in Literature or Bachelor's Degree in English Creative Writing or Bachelor's Degree in English Communications AND general or basic knowledge of application of Technical Writing principles, concepts, practices, and standards.
A Technical Writing Certification along with familiarity with PTC Arbortext Editor Software.
Bachelor's Degree in Literature, OR Bachelor's Degree in English Creative Writing, OR Bachelor's Degree in English Communications is required.
School must be accredited.
