Chipton-Ross is seeking a Lead Systems Security Engineer for an opening in Rancho Bernardo, CA.

This position provides technical expertise for the design, development, qualification, integration and fielding of program protection and security solutions for customer platforms under development.

" Lead analysis of missions and systems for potential Abuse and Misuse conditions along with consequences and propose mitigation approaches.
" Assesses multiple security solutions for "best fit" with customer requirements, establishes detailed system requirements and allocation of those requirements to sub-systems and engages with all engineering disciplines to quantitatively assess a system's [in] ability to resist cyber-attack over a range of cataloged attack Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures (TTPs).
" Provide guidance on ensuring systems are specified, designed, developed, implemented, integrated, and sustained to meet security needs, goals and objectives.
" Responsible for leading the SSE implementation during the development, integration, test, and fielding of the systems and ensuring programs are executed to meet or exceed requirements while meeting cost and performance targets.
" Direct research and development of unique technical capabilities and processes for understanding, assessing, and analyzing system and technology resilience and security.
" Guide systems security analysis and assessments, including identifying risk criticalities and handling options, to inform decision making.
" Develop systems security and cybersecurity strategy, verification and validation efforts.
" Analyze system software requirements using analysis tools to identify vulnerabilities and system architecture, design, and implementation flaws.
" Develop system security engineering attributes within complex model-based system engineering products in direct support of programs.
" Performs other duties as assigned or required.

Familiar with developing SSE (Anti-Tamper (AT), Cyber, Software Assurance, and Supply Chain Risk Management) systems solutions to meet customer requirements, working in conjunction with new business development personnel and suppliers.
Experience in vulnerability discovery, and analysis tools, fuzzing tools, and dynamic system analysis is required.
Proven ability to work independently to learn new technologies, techniques, processes, languages, platforms, systems.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills along with the ability to foster relationship development.
Familiarity with weapons system development, sustainment, and security operations.
Experience incorporating systems resiliency and security engineering concepts into acquisition documents (e.g., Performance Work Statements).
Experience in technical evaluations of contractor proposals for systems resiliency, security, and cybersecurity considerations.
Familiarity with Model Based System Engineering tools is required.

Demonstrates a detailed and extensive technical expertise and application of engineering principles, concepts, theory, and practice with the ability to organize, plan, schedule, conduct, and coordinate workloads to meet established deadlines or milestones with some experience in project leadership. Must possess the ability to understand new concepts quickly and apply them accurately throughout an evolving environment; strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills to effectively interface with other departments, customers, government representatives, and/or professionals; the capability of representing the organization as a prime technical contact; and, the ability to provide leadership and guidance to less experienced professionals. Must be customer focused and able to work on a self- initiated basis or in a team environment and able to work extended hours and travel as required

Familiarity with NIST SP 800-160 systems security engineering considerations for systems engineering is desired.
Knowledge of hardware, software, supply chain, systems vulnerabilities, anti-tamper and exploitation approach is desired.
A Professional Engineering License, original work(s) published in professional engineering journals, invited to present one or more original works to an engineering symposium, and invited and/or participated on an engineering review panel are desirable.

Bachelors degree, masters degree or PhD in engineering or a related technical discipline from an accredited institution and progressive engineering experience as follows; twelve or more years of experience with a bachelors degree, ten or more years of experience with a masters degree, or seven or more years with a PhD. May substitute equivalent engineering experience in lieu of education.
