Description
Chipton-Ross is seeking a Senior Crane Rigger for an opening in Hawthorne, CA.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Determines, selects, secures, and adjusts suitable type and number of slings, cables, hooks, and/or other lifting and securing devices so that established weight limits, and clearances are observed, load will be balanced and secured properly, pull will be uniform and evenly distributed to avoid damage to load, and load is aligned properly for precision positioning or mating. Rigs such typical items as large aircraft assemblies being removed from or placed in jigs; equipment and machines being moved or installed, and large assembly or large master jigs. Guides movements of crane operator by hand signals, so that load will be properly placed or positioned and to insure safety of load, adjacent equipment, and personnel. Performs any function of the truck crane operator as required. Use blueprints and arithmetic involving addition and subtraction, and must have a complete knowledge of crane riggers practices and procedures.
Support the Final Line Assembly Shipping department loading & unloading Aircraft assemblies & tooling from Monorail and railcars. Reports to the Supervisor of Final Assembly Shipping.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
2-5 years of material handling and equipment. Willing to work in a team environment working toward common goals supporting the factory and customer needs. Willing to work overtime in support of FOB's and schedule demands.

EDUCATION:
Accredited High School Diploma/GED

WORK HOURS:
Full-Time

Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
