Chipton-Ross is seeking a Tool Die Maker 2 for an opportunity in Saint Augustine, FL.
Lays out, fabricates, and assembles metalworking dies, molds, and machine tool fixtures by analyzing blueprints, sketches, models, and engineering or shop specifications. Uses a variety of machinist hand tools and precision measuring instruments. Computes dimensions; determines machining and material or parts required. Performs precision work to exacting tolerances and dimensions; recommends revisions in design and/or substitutions in material based on machinability or fabrication problems encountered; and solves problems relating to unusual materials, work-holding arrangements, machine settings, fabrication methods, and production process. May monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures.
High School diploma or equivalent and 2 years' relevant experience.
Ability to read blue prints, read precision measuring equipment, work in a team environment.
2 years of tool fabrication experience and knowledge of Master Setting Tools.
High School diploma or equivalent is required.
School must be accredited.
4/10 workweek. This position will begin as a 4/10 workweek from December 2019 to March 2020. Thereafter it will change to a 3/12 workweek (Fri., Sat. and Sun from 6AM to 6:30PM.) Please make sure candidate is aware of this.
Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
