Chipton-Ross is seeking a Data Scientist / Analyst for an opportunity in Eagan, MN.

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Data Scientist / Analyst to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position is located in Eagan, MN and will support a contract for the US Postal Service. This is an on-site position with no telecommute possibilities.
The ideal candidate is a problem solver and thinks to the future. This position will work with different groups in the organization across multiple domains. You should have a broad knowledge and understanding of the different cross functional domains including networks, infrastructure, security and desktops among others. We are looking for someone with a mindset to tackle difficult problems and be able to communicate any issues to management as well as recommend solutions or actions.
Roles and Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
o Create visualizations with data from different sources and formats and maneuver the data to make it presentable to teams throughout the organization, including both technical and non-technical members.
o Make recommendations for continuous improvement.
o Utilize raw data and customize to create charts and presentations for the business owners.
o Identify and analyze data and metrics.
o Review and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) trends to identify opportunities for improvements.
o Provide regular reports on service performance and achievement to the Service Owners, Service Managers, Business Relationship Managers (BRMs) and executive management.
o Measure, record, and analyze customer satisfaction and work to improve it.

o Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 5 years' relevant experience. Additional experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
o Expert abilities in MS Excel as well strong working abilities in the entire MS Office Suite.
o Ability to articulate synopsis and summaries of data for an audience at different technical levels in different groups across an organization.
o Strong relational database and SQL experience.
o Knowledge and experience with Service Now.
o Knowledge and experience with SPLUNK / Quick Qlik.
o Working experience of the ITIL framework.
o Problem-solving skills with an emphasis on resolution of complex technical problems.
o Ability to understand the concepts supporting relational databases and data warehousing.
o Strong documentation skills to capture collection of source data, methodology from business rules, and visualization deployment from a myriad of sources and interactions with various stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications:
o ITIL Certification.
o Experience with large infrastructure projects.
o Experience with network/IT security in a government based secure environment.
o Experience with enterprise wide implementations.
o Experience holding people accountable in a matrix organizational environment.

Bachelor's degree is required. Additional experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
School must be accredited.
