Description
Chipton-Ross is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Technician for an opening in Franklin, MA.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
This position is part of the Materials and Minerals business unit in the Chemical Analysis Division (CAD). You will be responsible for testing and certifying assemblies and instruments to meet quality standards. Test and troubleshoot subassemblies and/or standard instruments within the Value Stream. Perform mechanical assembly including steel frames, gear driven conveyers, pneumatic controls using assembly drawings and procedures. Perform electrical assembly involving wiring of optical devices, motors, sub-systems, and control panels using drawings, schematics and procedures. Document non-conformances. Participate/lead daily team stand-up meetings; communicating daily challenges and/or ideas. Participate in improvement events (such as Kaizen, 5S, Practical Process Improvement). Work with cell leads and value stream support to resolve process issues when required. Manage inventory and equipment. Perform transactions in ERP system to move materials, close work orders, and generate delivery tickets. Cross train into other functional roles as required

REQUIREMENTS:
3+ years of related experience, preferably in a lean manufacturing environment; instrumentation test is preferred. Experience assembling and troubleshooting electromechanical assemblies and printed circuit boards (PCBs). Conduct equipment set up and qualification on simple machinery and in-process visual inspection Experience with mechanical assemblies, building to drawings. Prior use of Infor XA ERP system is preferred as well as experience with Microsoft Word & Excel. Ability to work safely with chemicals and gasses, maintain good housekeeping standards and follow established 5S procedures. Adhere to ISO9000 requirements including ESD, work area cleanliness, maintenance and calibration of equipment and work instruction adherence. Ability to understand the basic operations in Microsoft Word and Excel. High visual acuity and manual dexterity. Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs. Must be able to sit and or stand at workbench for extended periods of time; bend, stoop, reach, turn as required.

EDUCATION:
Accredited AS degree in Mechanical or Electrical or related field, military training, or other equivalent experience required.

WORK HOURS:
Full-Time
7:00am to 3:30pm or 6:00am to 2:30pm

Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
