Chipton-Ross is seeking a Software Engineer for an opening in Littleton, CO.
Plans, conducts, and coordinates software development activities. Designs, develops, documents, tests, and debugs software that contains logical and mathematical solutions to business/mission problems or questions in computer language for solutions by means of data processing equipment. Applies the appropriate standards, processes, procedures, and tools throughout the development life cycle. Applies knowledge of computer hardware and software, subject matter to be programmed in business/mission applications, information processing techniques used, and information gathered from system users to develop software. Corrects program errors, prepares operating instructions, compiles documentation of program development, and analyzes system capabilities to resolve questions of program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques, and controls. Ensures software standards are met.
BS Degree in engineering, applied mathematics, physics, robotic systems, artificial intelligence or closely related technical field and 2 years of professional level career experience. "Very strong grasp of software & robotics architecture concepts (experience with multiple paradigms, familiar with common patterns, etc.) and a strong algorithms/data structures background. * Experience applying modern computer vision or RF signal processing to real sensor collections * Extensive programming experience with either Python or C++. * Background building systems with a major machine learning library such as scikit-learn or Spark * Background in applying deep learning to real problems and knowledge of a major framework such as mxnet or PyTorch * Understanding of sensors (e.g. LIDAR, SAR, EO/IR, etc.) and a background in sensor fusion * Background in high-performance computing (ideally CUDA) -- embedded HPC especially desired * Robot Operating System knowledge * Experience with Simultaneous Localization and Mapping (SLAM) algorithms * Demonstrated history of building prototypes. * Comfortable working in an Agile Scrum environment

Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
