- Chipton-Ross is seeking 5 Wire Design & Installation Engineer 4's for an opportunity in Tukwila, WA.
Seeking experience electrical harness/cable engineers. The candidate will provide engineering and technical decisions for Develops and maintains cable/wire harness detail and assembly designs. This position also allows the possibility to see your released engineering be installed while supporting the build during shipside support. Job duties during the design phase include Analyzes results and performs design reviews. Leads the team to analyze results and performs design reviews. Provides engineering design disposition on discrepancies (e.g., rejection tags, production action requests, shop revision requests). Documents processes, specifications and procedures that support the design and manufacture of electrical commodities. Develops and maintains electrical product detail, assembly and installation designs (e.g., equipment racks, power panels, cable routing and geometry, antennas)Develops complex statements of work, metrics, schedules and budgets. Performs technical review of supplier capabilities to facilitate source selection. Must possess good organizational, interpersonal, and problem solving skills. Must have demonstrated a strong work ethic and sense of urgency for completing assigned work with a history of meeting commitments. Ability to adjust priorities to multiple demands and unanticipated events. Works under minimal direction.
- Previous experience in the defense or aerospace industry
-Previous experience in Electrical Harness/Cable/Wire Design and Routing
- Experience in wire design tools such as Mentor Graphics Capital, WIRS, MWIRS, CATIA V5/Enovia and/or an equivalent avionics wire design is preferred
Accredited education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+4 years' related work experience, Master+7 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
Possible travel to Oklahoma City, San Antonio, or St. Louis.
FULL TIME/FIRST SHIFT
WORK HOURS: 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM
