- Chipton-Ross is seeking an Aeronautical Engineer for an opportunity in Fort Worth, TX
The Pax Flying Qualities (FQ) Engineer's primary roles will be to support structural FQ flight testing at Patuxent River Naval Air Station on the F-35B and F-35C aircraft. This includes providing real time control room monitoring support of FQ parameters on the STOVL and CV flight test aircraft, conducting pre-flight FQ predictions and post flight data requests, and supporting FQ flight test anomaly resolution and correlation of predictive aerodynamic databases with measured flight test data.
The successful applicant will be frequently required to attend briefings with the customer and represent LM.
-Experience with aircraft flying qualities analysis such as handling qualities, stability and control, and/or control law development.
-Flying Qualities Flight Test experience
-Experience with the F-35 FQ analysis methods
-F-35 Flying Qualities and Air Data Flight Test Experience
-The candidate must be able to work independently and proficiently with flying qualities analysis and flight test.
-Good written and verbal skills are required.
-Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook) and MS Windows operating system.
Accredited BS+9-15 YRS or MS+7-13 YRS
