Description


Chipton-Ross is seeking a Business Analyst - Modernization for an opportunity in Baton Rouge, LA.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Elicits, analyzes and documents customer business needs and requirements in order to produce an accurate business case for the project.
Ensures adherence to project and program processes and lifecycles to ensure business and functional requirements are understood, agreed to, documented and can be traced to measurable project success criteria.
Works with customer and quality assurance to identify needed test data and develop test cases that ensure expected functionality and features are validated before and during User Acceptance Testing.
Establishes and develops contacts across the State that encourage and allow information flow and knowledge transfer while providing consistent high level customer service.
Reviews or prepares reports on studies conducted and recommends appropriate corrective action.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering, Information Systems, Software Engineering or a related discipline from an accredited institution and 6 years of relevant experience or 10 years of related experience will satisfy degree and work experience requirement (with high school degree).
Must have 3+ year work experience as a business analyst.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with Motor Vehicles Processes.
Familiarity with JIRA.
Agile development (Scrum methodology).
PMI-PBA or CBAP certification.
Familiarity with Business Process Re-Engineering (BPR).
Experience with User Testing.
Demonstrated strong analytical skills by designing, creating, and/or modernizing business processes.
Project experience ability to facilitate project related meetings with business partners.
Project experience ability to drive project related discussions and deliver artifacts in a timely manner.
Writing skills with experience creating requirements and design documents for complex projects.

EDUCATION:
High School degree/GED OR Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering, Information Systems, Software Engineering or a related discipline from an accredited institution.
School must be accredited.

HOURS:
5/40 workweek.

Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
