Chipton-Ross is seeking an Associate Embedded Software Engineer for an opening in Camden, NJ.

Associate Embedded Software Engineer or Embedded Software Engineer, will be responsible for participating in all phases of the software development life cycle. Working hand in hand with experienced subject matter experts, the candidate will be responsible for design and development of software to include requirements analysis, data modeling using Embedded Object Oriented Development methodologies, software architecture design, software detailed design, software code and unit test, and software integration and test activities on embedded real-time communications products. You will play a key role in developing innovative software components to support Client.

The candidate should have a background in embedded software development and/or related coursework/projects, knowledge of Object Oriented development, software development/test and debug tools and methodologies, and an understanding of modern software development methodologies and the software development lifecycle.
The candidate is expected to work both independently and as part of a team, possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, possess strong analytical and problem solving skills, and exhibit effective time management and task ownership on their assignments.

Matlab, C++ and C Algorithm coding and testing, Machine Learning. Experience or related coursework in any of the following areas is highly desired: Algorithm development, Distributed agents, Neural Networks, Genetic algorithms, Scheduler and inference engines, Control theory, Signal processing, Bayesian theory, Optimization in stochastic conditions, RF Communications, Electronic Warfare, Reinforcement Learning, Python 3, Fuzzy Logic, Parallel programming, Rational Team Concert, Parasoft Unit Testing and Static Analysis

The following attributes would be helpful: knowledge and use of Embedded Linux Operating System and Eclipse based development environments, knowledge and use of Real Time Operating Systems (RTOS) such as INTEGRITY or VxWorks, knowledge of cryptographic hardware and its capabilities, Board Support Packages, and Device Driver concepts and implementation, hands on software development using Agile Methods and Practices, knowledge of Test Driven Development concepts, knowledge of automated test frameworks and environments, Python or similar scripting language, knowledge of communication and security related protocols (including but not limited to HAIPE, SCIP, UDP, TCP, RTP, SRTP, VoIP, X.509 and SSL/TLS), experience with object-oriented model-driven design concepts, and usage in a tool such as IBM Rhapsody, knowledge of network architectures and protocols.
Experience supporting the development of innovative signal processing algorithms for machine learning related to cyber defense or offense and/or electromagnetic technologies is highly desired. Experience with general digital and RF test equipment such as logic, network and spectrum analyzers is also desired.

Accredited Bachelor's or Master’s Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field and 0 - 3 years applicable experience required.
