Chipton-Ross is seeking a Project Manager for an opportunity in McLean, VA.
We are seeking a Project Manager to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. Realize the rewards of conquering a new challenge. The qualified applicant will become part of Northrop Grumman's Postal Solutions Virtual Development Center, supporting the United States Postal Service on a mission critical web application. This position will be located in McLean VA.
This role is crucial to the success of our team. The Project Manager will oversee and manage the operational aspects of the project and serve as the liaison between the customer and development team.
Leads and directs a cross-functional software development team to meet program cost, schedule and technical objectives.
Acts as primary customer contact for project activities, leading project review sessions with customer to discuss schedule and technical performance.
Establishes milestones and prepares project execution plans and identification of appropriate technical and business resources required.
Satisfies customer requirements and adheres to the agreed upon delivery schedule.
Efficiently assesses risks to project and develops solutions to meet productivity, quality, and customer-satisfaction goals and objectives.
Serves as mediator to internal issues and conflicting priorities for members of cross-functional team focused on the delivery of new or existing products to customer.
Follows and coaches team on Agile methodology standards and procedures.
Regularly interfaces with USPS customer and product owner to gather and analyze requirements.
Develops and delivers presentations and demos to customer(s), executive management and other program stakeholders.
Provides deployment coordination and occasional off-hours production support.
Regularly reviews status of project and budget, manages team schedules and prepares status reports to USPS and NG management.
Oversees and supports allocation of resources for the team and program.
The successful job candidate must have excellent communication skills and be a detail-oriented self-starter.
MUST have Bachelor of Science degree (preferably, in a STEM field) and a minimum of 12 years of relevant work experience; OR a Master's degree with a minimum of 9 years of relevant work experience.
Minimum 3 years' experience as a project manager.
Minimum 3 years' experience leading a software development team.
Minimum 2 years' experience working on an Agile team.
Minimum 2 years' experience gathering and analyzing requirements.
Must be able to quickly adapt to fast paced environment and immediately provide support to mission-critical program.
Ability to develop strong customer relationships.
Should have excellent written and oral communication and collaboration skills.
Cyber Security experience.
Familiarity with NIST, AS-805 Protocols.
DevSecOps integration experience.
Scrum Master certifications (i.e. CSM).
MUST have Bachelor of Science degree (preferably, in a STEM field) OR a Master's degree.
School must be accredited.
8am - 5pm.
