Power Conversion Technology (PCT) is seeking a lead design engineer to develop high voltage power supplies (HVPS) for its next generation radio frequency electronic warfare (RFEW) system utilizing traveling wave tube technology. This position involves full life-cycle development, including design, test, integration, and support of:
High Voltage (>2kV) power supply architectures for RF Receiver/Exciter designs.
High-potential isolation techniques, electronic packaging and thermal trade spaces.
Space-efficient magnetic design, specification, and manufacturing.
Regulatory compliance to DoD customer requirements, such as MIL-STD-704/461/464, & DO-160.
The HVPS Design Engineer will work with system and sub-system architects, and hardware engineers to develop requirements, architect new circuit design topologies, and custom printed wiring board layouts. Designs are verified through spice simulation, laboratory verification, and formal qualification to electrical and mechanical environmental requirements, electromagnetic environmental effects (E3) requirements and EMI/EMC compliance requirements. Design support is continuous from requirements definition through integration and test; and maintenance of design documentation and configuration management is required throughout the product life-cycle.

BS degree in STEM with 9+ years of relevant experience, OR MS degree in STEM with 7+ years of relevant experience.
High voltage power supply circuit design experience, including schematic capture through test and integration.
Working knowledge of designing magnetics including: transformers, coupled inductors, EMI chokes and common mode filters.
Hands-on prototyping and debug experience testing complex, high power systems.
Ability to translate system performance and operational specifications into hardware requirements, design implementation, and test specifications.
Recent high voltage power supply design experience utilizing circuit-related tools including Cadence Concept/Allegro, and LTSPICE.
Working knowledge of Electronic Warfare system/hardware.
Working experience with documentation revision control and review systems.
Proven skills to include: project planning, communicating with all levels of an organization, adaptable, creative, collaborative, comfortable working independently, and coaching others.
BS degree in STEM or MS degree in STEM is required.
An advanced degree in Electrical Engineering, focused on Power Conversion is preferred.
School must be accredited.
5/40 workweek - OT as needed.
