Chipton-Ross is seeking a Mechanical Technician 2 for an opportunity in Redondo Beach, CA.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems is seeking a highly qualified, mission oriented Mechanical Technician, located in Redondo Beach, CA with responsibilities including (but not limited to) the following: Performs a variety of duties assisting mechanical engineers in the development of mechanical and electromechanical engineering designs, tests, fabrications, modifications, assemblies and components. Drafts detailed drawings for fabrication. Devices, fabricates, and assembles new or modified mechanical components or assemblies. Sets up and tests complete prototype units and subassemblies under operational conditions. Analyzes data and recommends modifications to components or test procedure to meet desired specifications.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
High School diploma/GED plus 3 years of related experience.
Experience handling space flight hardware.
Familiarity with mechanical assembly.
Preferred:
Must be able to meet and maintain the specific process requirements (bonding, crane, forklift and scissor lift) to support daily task assignments.

EDUCATION:
High School diploma/GED is required.
School must be accredited.

HOURS:
9/80 workweek.


Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
