Chipton-Ross is seeking a Controls Systems Engineer IV for an opening in Anaheim, CA.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Control Systems Engineer IV shall perform professional level software/ control/ integration engineering assignments of wide complexity with considerable discretion. The engineer shall provide support for the iterative engineering development process from design into integration ending with product delivery.

1. Develop, configure, build and support algorithm or software binaries on custom hardware. Integrate and validate feature against MATLAB/ Simulink models.

2. Write, refine and follow test procedures. Review test results to deduce (and address) defect root cause or test plan shortcomings. Demonstrate test plan capacity to meet feature and system level requirements.

3. Support analysis of functional requirements, development and workflow.

The Controls Systems Engineer IV shall take general direction of the Manager Software Engineering or Controls Engineers. The engineer shall actively work with peers and specialists across different disciplines to meet shared product milestones.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
1. Must have experience with either:
a) Integrating software on target hardware through product release or
b) In-field diagnostics of electrical systems leading through resolution.
2. Must be familiar with collaborative software development or model driven workflow.
3. Must be able to read and understand electrical product models in MATLAB/ Simulink. Exposure to control algorithms and/or power systems is a plus.
4. Must have effective communication skills and be able to work as a member to a multi-disciplinary engineering team.

LANGUAGE SKILLS
The employee must have the ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or government regulations. The employee must have the ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. The employee must be able to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers and the general public.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
The employee must understand and be able to apply simple mathematics (calculus, statistics and probability theory).

REASONING ABILITY
The employee must be able to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions. He must be able to apply logic and the scientific method to a wide variety of intellectual and practical problems. He must be able to deal with non-verbal symbolism (formulae, graphs, etc.).

EDUCATION:
B.S. degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or equivalent discipline from accredited four-year College or University with a minimum of 6 years of applicable software integration, controls development or in-field application engineering experience and/or training. OR M.S degree with a minimum of 4 years relevant experience

WORK HOURS:
9/80, 1st Shift
Full-Time

Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
