- Chipton-Ross is seeking a Sustainment Engineer for an opportunity in Schriever Air Force Base, CO.
Candidate will support the Day in the Life satellite activities to maintain and sustain the current MILSATCOM constellation of MILSTAR and AEHF spacecraft. Specific subsystem focus will be Payload operations. Candidate will perform system level planning and execution of subsystem task in support of the mission. The individual is expected to become a subject matter expert (SME) of the assigned subsystem and work closely with and provide operational guidance and technical recommendations to the 4SOPS customer. The candidate will perform subsystem trending to proactively identify and resolve adverse trends. Must be able to work both independently as well as part of a diverse integrated team of contractors, subcontractors and Air Force personnel.
Will be required to work some shift work and weekends specifically, in support of anomaly resolution and special test events. Overtime, limited travel, and shift work as required. Availability for 24/7/365 recall to site within 75 minutes
Must be able to work both independently as well as part of a diverse integrated team of contractors, subcontractors and Air Force personnel. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required.
Accredited Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in STEM.
