- Chipton-Ross is seeking a Logistics Development Specialist for an opening in Rancho Bernardo, CA.
Conducts logistics support analysis, specifically MTA (maintenance task analysis) in accordance with SAE-GEIA-STD-0007B.
Develops MTA through the analysis of engineering documentation and Bills of Material (BoM) documenting the results in Logistics Management Information database applications such as SLICwave, Eagle LSA, or PowerLogJ
Following standard policies and procedures, contributes to the support of customer requirements and objectives to ensure projects are achieved within budget and on schedule.
Participates in continuous improvement of standard logistics processes, such as the iterative process of supportability analysis to influence system design and development in the areas of design interface, maintenance, troubleshooting, supply support, PHS&T (packaging, handling, storage & transportation), manpower & personnel, technical data, training, technical manuals, facilities, support equipment (both common and peculiar), operations, and disposal/recycling.
Performs research, evaluation, analysis, and validation to assist with the development of complete integrated logistics product support programs.
Compiles and evaluates test data to assist in determining appropriate limits and variables for process or material specifications.
Participates in projects involving definition and selection of new concepts, and approaches in the processing or development of new or improved processes to reduce total life cycle support costs.
Identifies logistics issues and participates in developing solutions to a variety of moderately complex logistics problems while referring to standard policies, procedures and practices to lower costs and optimize system performance requirements.
Performs other duties as assigned or required.
Must have demonstrated expertise with Maintenance Task Analysis (MTA).
Must have demonstrated knowledge of database applications such as SLICwave, Eagle LSA, or PowerLogJ.
Must demonstrate an extensive understanding of logistics management concepts, techniques, and standards and have proven experience broadly applying those concepts.
Experience in Repair Level Analysis is required.
Experience working with technical data and/or technical manuals is desired.
Must be customer focused and possess critical thinking skills: (1) the ability to identify issues, analyze and interpret data and develop solutions to a variety of problems including Logistics Management Information (LMI), reliability and maintainability, and life-cycle product support activities; (2) good analytical, verbal and written communication skills to accurately document, report, and present findings; (3) good interpersonal skills; and, (4) excellent computer skills. The ability to work independently or in a team environment is essential as is the ability to work extended hours and travel as required.
Maintenance and logistics experience with US Navy ships and the Department of Defense (DoD) is a plus.
Accredited bachelor's or master's degree in logistics or related technical field along with ten or more years of progressive logistics management experience with a bachelor's or eight or more years with a master's. Equivalent applicable experience may be substituted in lieu of education.

Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
