- Chipton-Ross is seeking a Accountant 2 for an opportunity in Bingen, WA.
Candidate will be responsible for performing general accounting functions. The successful candidate will:
Perform journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations.
Be responsible for ensuring appropriate revenue recognition in compliance with GAAP and contract billing.
Identify, implement, and document new and/or revised accounting principles, processes, practices, and procedures.
Responsible for customer invoicing and cash collections on contracts assigned.
Supports internal and external accounting audits.
Responds to accounting related inquiries and resolves.
Read and understand contracts and identify relevant accounting events and financial risks.
Coordinate with MIS team to validate reports where appropriate.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Team player with strong written and verbal communication skills
High attention to detail
Must be well-organized, motivated, flexible, and able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
Strong research and problem solving skills
Ability to collect, organize and analyze data; summarize findings; develop conclusions and recommendations from appropriate data sources
Strong Excel skills and ability to turn data into information required
3 to 5 years progressive experience in accounting and finance roles.
Costpoint ERP experience a plus
Accredited Bachelor’s degree with Accounting emphasis required.
9/80 WORK WEEK
Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
