Chipton-Ross is seeking a Building Maintenance Technician for an opening in Aston, PA.
Under general directions perform general and routine maintenance tasks and assist in production/assembly work as may be required. All functions to be performed following all safety procedures and practices while maintaining the work area and equipment in a neat, clean and orderly manner.
Responsible for internal plant maintenance, physical appearance and safety of building. Adjust and repair building parts or equipment as required.
Inspects, maintains, and keep records in accordance with manufacturer's manuals or company established instructions for: fire extinguishers, safety equipment, material handling equipment, shop tools and tool room supplies, lighting, perform monthly OSHA checks and other assigned regular routine tasks.
Keep shop floor clean and free of oil, grease and trash. Run vacuum machine.
Operate Forklift to move or deliver materials as needed. Perform light to moderate assembly skills.
3-5 years' experience in building HVAC,Electrical maintenance and housekeeping tasks. Must have mechanical aptitude. Must be thorough, accurate and safety conscience.
Good judgment required to plan and perform standard and occasionally unusual or difficult maintenance work to maintain a safe operating facility. In various instances there is little or no choice as to the appropriate procedure to be used in the particular situation.
Daily contact with individuals within the department and other departments on routine matters and occasional external contacts in furnishing or obtaining information or supplies and parts..
Accredited High School Diploma/GED
Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
