Chipton-Ross is seeking a Nurse Employee Health 3 for an opportunity in El Segundo, CA.
Work autonomously within RN scope of practice supported by standing orders under direction of Lead RN. Triage and provide nursing services or arrange for higher level of care to employees who become ill or suffer a workplace injury. Perform employee physical exams and testing per OSHA regulations and contractual obligations. Maintain medical records in accordance with HIPPA regulations. Work closely with site management, Safety, Human Resources, Leave of Absence Desk and Employee assistance program (EAP) as determined. Collaborate with outside medical providers and workers' compensation administrators.
Associates Degree plus 5 years of experience as a RN in an emergency room, urgent care, or occupational health setting:
Current certification for Basic Life Support (BLS) for Health Care Providers
Current certification in Blood Borne Pathogens (BBP)
Knowledge of Microsoft Office Software programs
Knowledge of workers’ compensation procedures
Certification in Occupational Health Nursing
CAOHC and NIOSH Spirometry Certification
Knowledge of workplace health and safety concepts and Osha regulations
Associates Degree is required.
School must be accredited.
9/80 workweek; 1st shift
Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
