Description
Chipton-Ross is seeking a Network Security Specialist 4 for an opening in El Segundo, CA.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Seeking a STE Cyber Security Network Specialist for the BT&E Space Systems Test organization. Responsible for the hardening, deployment, setup, and readiness of network for Special Test Equipment in factory and launch environments. Scan for vulnerabilities, implement mitigations, install, administer, and troubleshoot on the following operating systems:
•Microsoft Windows XP, Microsoft Windows 7, Microsoft Windows 10,
•Microsoft Server software from the same eras of Windows above
•Multiple Linux distros
•Oracle Solaris (UNIX)Desired familiarity with a variety of services and protocols including:
•NFS and CIFS network data, SAMBA
•NIS, DNS, NTP, SMTP, SNMP, SSH, SFTP, VPN’s
•Active Directory, LDAP, Firewalls
•RAID storage
•Backup methodologies, disaster recovery
•HTTP/HTTPS (typically Apache and IIS)
•High level DBA skills (install, start, stop, etc): SQL Server and MySQL
•Basic familiarity with HP/Agilent, etc. instruments and the ability to set up communications (Ethernet and GPIB)Programming skills:
•UNIX/Linux shell scripts (C, Bourne, BASH)
•Python script language

EDUCATION:
Accredited education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience.

FULL TIME/FIRST SHIFT
WORK HOURS: 7:30 AM - 5:00 PM

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
This work assignment has been designated as "safety-sensitive" by the Client. Contractors assigned to safety-sensitive jobs at the Client site must first complete regulatory pre-placement requirements prior to reporting to assignment. Additionally, contractors assigned to safety-sensitive work will be subject to random drug and alcohol testing in accordance with federal mandates.

MISCELLANEOUS:
Applicants responding to this position will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements by currently possessing the ability to view classified government information.

Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
