- Chipton-Ross is seeking a Human Resources Intern for an opening in Cincinnati, OH.
Provides college students with the opportunity to gain hands on human resources (HR) experience while continuing their studies at their universities. Offers the opportunity to gain on-the-job experience and training with experienced supervision and support.
Work assignments commonly incorporate some entry-level work with the guidance given for first-time experiences. Work assignments increase in responsibility, complexity, and challenge. Students will be exposed to many aspects of HR work that may include organizational development and design, benefits and compensation, recruitment from sourcing to offer stage and on-boarding, employee relations, performance management, talent management, recognition and rewards, and community service/philanthropy projects. By using the established HRIS systems, the intern will gain exposure to the importance of accuracy in data management and reporting.
The program usually begins in the student’s junior year. Equivalent combinations of education, training, and relevant work experience may be considered. We consider students with business competence as well as their ability to work as team members with the HR team. Strong proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) is necessary. Must have good communication and writing skills. Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously. The work schedule is part-time with flexible work hours to accommodate the student’s academic schedule during the school year. The intern is expected to work a minimum of 20 hours per week.
Accredited High School Diploma/GED
Current students who are majoring in Human Resources, Business, Organizational Leadership and other general studies majors in an accredited program. Preference is given to the Human Resources major.
We are looking for a student to work 16 hours a week while in school and full-time over the summer if possible
Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
