Chipton-Ross is seeking an IT Asset Management Analyst I for an opening in Topeka, KS.

With general supervision, the IT Asset Management Analyst is responsible for on-going operations of the IT life-cycle process for all software and hardware technology assets throughout the organization. •Supports the ITAM practice in helping to mitigate financial and/or legal risks associated to vendor compliance, identify potential cost savings opportunities relating to software & support, & help improve our negotiating position with vendors. – 10%
•Responsible for shipping, recieveing, distributing, tracking, and reconciling PO’s or service requests, for all IT asset hardware. – 5%
•Facilitate data disposition and follow all NERC/CIP regulatory requirements for hardware asset management. – 5%
•Acts as a conduit between ITAM & other departments to provide timely access to IT software deployment & license entitlement data. – 10%
•Ensure the Asset Management solution (& supporting tools) can accurately count the software license deployments specified in each vendor agreement & reconcile them to license entitlements (e.g., software contracts, purchase records, etc.). – 10%
•Assists with the operations of division policies, processes, & procedures for effective software lifecycle management (acquisition through retirement or re-use) leveraging the Asset Manager solution & help ensure company adoption. – 10%
•Assists with the processes to perform the reconciliation of installed software to license entitlements. – 40%
•Assists auditors to audit the activities of the department for compliance with procedures. Implements / enforces corrective actions as required. – 10%
•Other duties as assigned.

•Solid understanding of IT lifecycles not limited to hardware, including end user computing, server & network equipment, software related purchases, & IT service contracts.
•General understanding of SOX compliance.
•Strong communication and presentation skills.
•Is self-motivated, detail and goal oriented, and an innovative thinker.
•Strong interpersonal and team building skills; ability to work with a diverse team and help influence/drive change across functional and business boundaries. •Must be reliable, accountable, flexable, and willing to travel up to 50% of the time.
•Strong technical/system administrative skills.
•General knowledge of SAM tools, IT asset discovery technologies, and data analysis techniques (using Excel, Access, and ServiceNow).
•Ability to work independently or as part of a team with minimal supervison.
•Ability to prioritize system generated (ServiceNow, IAM) tasks based on criticality & meet deadline.
•Ability to occasionally be required to stand, walk or sit for prolonged periods of time, & may also have to climb, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
•Ability to lift/move/carry between 10 - 50 pounds if required to perform the essential job functions.

Accredited Associate’s Degree in a computer science-related field OR 1 years recent experience in an IT field of work. Preferred Certifications (one of these) Certified Software Asset Manager, Certified Hardware Asset Management Professional, Certified IT Asset Manager


Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
