- Chipton-Ross is seeking a Laboratory Technician for an opening in Pleasanton, CA.
Supports laboratory staff by maintaining glassware, logs, and record books; troubleshooting and resolving mechanical problems and helping with special projects.
Maintains glassware by picking-up, cleaning, washing, and storing in designated cabinets.
Keeps laboratory supplies ready by inventorying stock, placing orders and verifying receipt.
Keeps equipment operating by following operating instructions, troubleshooting breakdowns, maintaining supplies, performing preventive maintenance and calling for repairs.
Able to use provided tools to assemble and disassemble all parts.
Maintains a clean and sanitary work station at all times.
Accepts responsibility and follows through on tasks to completion.
Follow all EH&S safety requirements.
Communicate effectively with other production staff.
Organize and prioritize work to support organic chemists.
Performs other duties as assigned or requested.
0-2 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment
0-2 years’ experience in glassware handling and cleaning
0-2 years’ experience in maintaining lab equipment
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
Working knowledge of manufacturing environments
Familiarity working with standard software programs such as Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point.
Accredited Associate’s degree in Chemistry from an accredited program or High School Diploma with at least 2 years’ experience with handling laboratory glassware, equipment maintenance, and lab support.
1st Shift, 9am- 6pm
Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
