Chipton-Ross is seeking an Engineer Digital 3 for an opportunity in Redondo Beach, CA.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
FPGA designer responsible for the development of DVB-S2 modulation in VHDL. Responsibility include plan the VHDL development and verification approach in addition given top level requirements; with consideration for multiple users each with varying requirements (interface and functional features). The VHDL development plan and architecture design need to include contingencies based on sound assumptions; support lab integration activities.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's Degree with at least 5 years related experience.
Additional skill required:
• DSP: DVB-S2 (LDPC, BCH codes), Modulation formats (QPSK, 8PSK, 16PSK)
• Implementation skills: VHDL, Modelsim, Simulation debug
• Cross clock domain knowledge and implementation
• Backend FPGA Skills: Synthesis, PNR, timing closure, bit file generation
• Lab Skills: lab debug using a dev board, chipscope and lab equipment
EDUCATION:
Bachelor's Degree.
School must be accredited.
HOURS:
5/40 work week. Must be willing and able to support onsite.Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
